Building and maintaining roads and infrastructure is significant. Contributing to societal development is even greater. With us, you can do both. We are now looking for paving workers for the Industrial division and our Milling Operations in Southern Sweden. At Svevia, we combine the community and team spirit of a small company with the stability of a large corporation. Here, you will have the opportunity to develop as a road specialist - with commitment, collaboration, and responsibility.

Your mission as a paving worker on milling

Our milling operations are growing, and we are now seeking more skilled workers. As a skilled worker, you will be involved in both larger and smaller paving projects, where you perform milling work in collaboration with the work team according to given orders and existing regulations. Our clients include the Swedish Transport Administration, municipalities, private customers, and other operations within Svevia. Since the size and nature of the assignments vary, the tasks are diverse and provide opportunities for development within the profession. You are responsible for ensuring that vehicles and technical equipment are maintained and in good condition, as well as handling materials, measuring equipment, and other technical equipment so that the product meets the customer's quality requirements.

The operations are seasonal and primarily carried out from April to December. Since our work is service-oriented, a large part of the operations is performed during inconvenient working hours, and overnight stays in service occur regularly. The position is based in Munka-Ljungby.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with relevant education or experience in the industry. We will place great emphasis on qualities such as organizational skills, customer service ability, initiative, commitment, and responsibility. Since we work in teams, your ability to collaborate is extremely important. You need to be a team player who shows respect, supports, and cares for your colleagues. Working as a paving worker at Svevia may involve jobs throughout Sweden, but your main placement will be in southern Sweden. A CE license and experience with machinery are required.

At Svevia, we apply individual salary setting for skilled workers and have agreements on annual working hours. This means that you primarily work during our season from April to December and are off during January to March, provided that you have reached your annual working hours during the season.

Part of something bigger

Svevia's industrial division is in an expansive phase, and the ambitions are high. The goal is to be a leading player in paving in Sweden.

Behind every road lies more than the obvious surface: a whole industry of knowledge and delivery capability. Our offering is an industrial process. From stone to finished road.

It all starts with a quarry, which then becomes ballast, which in turn is used in the production of asphalt, which is finally laid on the road. With over 100 own quarries, our own production of asphalt, bitumen emulsion, and thermoplastics, we have a breadth that no one else has. In our laboratories, we conduct material analyses and ensure that the products meet standards and requirements. And our skilled teams in milling, asphalting, tank coating, and road marking ensure that the delivery is complete.

Why Svevia?

With us, you quickly become part of the team, and we care about being a workplace for everyone. The decision-making paths are short, and it is easy to make your voice heard. At the same time, you become part of a practical reality and a company where concrete results are created with steaming asphalt machines, large snow plows, and tons of rebar and concrete. With your professional skills, you can make a difference on the road. And we always prioritize safety - both with care for your own work environment and the safety of others.

For those who want to take the next step in their development, there are many opportunities. Whether you want to deepen your expertise in your specific area or move on to a supervisory position.

Together, we make cities and countryside function. Do you want to share the road with us?
